Wayo Japanese Language School Scholarship Student Introduction｜N1 Excellence Award – Chen

Chen successfully passed the JLPT N1 with an outstanding score and was awarded this year’s “N1 Excellence Award” scholarship.
He shared that the main reason he chose Wayo Japanese Language School was its location in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo—the setting of his favorite anime Bocchi the Rock! and a vibrant, youthful neighborhood full of personality and culture.

“As an anime fan, Shimokitazawa is an incredibly attractive place. Just walking to and from school each day, I can really feel the energy of Japanese culture—it’s very inspiring.”

Chen also gives high praise to the school’s support, both academically and in daily life:

“The teachers are very kind and always take the time to listen carefully. I feel reassured knowing I can ask for help whenever I need it. The support for job hunting and further education is especially helpful, especially for someone like me who has clear goals for the future.”

When speaking about what lies ahead, Chen says:
